Shipyard Flipper was founded in Sweden in 1966. In those days, the television series about the dolphin Flipper was very popular. It is no coincidence that the first model of this brand - a 3.6-meter rowing boat - was called Lill Flipper (little Flipper), and the image of a dolphin was even in the company logo for some time.
The first motor boat - Flipper Weedo - entered the market in 1968. It was a successful and safe model. The boat turned out to be practically unsinkable - it did not capsize, even when filled with water.
The real breakthrough came two years later with the Flipper 450HT. This family boat was durable and spacious, and her bold design got the attention she deserved.
In 1971, production of Flipper was moved from Sweden to Finland, and since 1992 the shipyard has been part of the Finnish yacht building brand Bella.
Currently, Flipper builds motor boats 6-9 meters long. The hulls are made of fiberglass; modern materials and precious woods are used in interior design.
Flipper features a unique Speedhull hull design for high speeds and a sporty driving style in all conditions. The special double frame construction made with vacuum technology makes the case very rigid. Flipper boats are optimized for Mercury outboards from the design stage.
